What is Rise & Scream?
Rise & Scream is a fundraiser for the International Institute of St. Louis. The fundraiser is a night of entertainment bringing people together with a large group of local creative artists.
All proceeds will be donated to the International Institute of St. Louis
The purpose of the International Institute is to be the St. Louis region’s welcoming center for refugees and immigrants. This year the Institute resettled more than 1,000 refugees from Syria, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Somalia, Iraq, and many other countries, all of whom had endured trauma and hardship and must now begin again. With support from the community, the Institute is there for refugees and immigrants for everything from English classes, job training & placement, and health services, to counseling, interpretation & translation, and small business assistance. With these services, the Institute works to fulfill its mission of helping immigrants and their families be productive Americans and championing ethnic diversity as a cultural and economic strength.

Call For Art
I'm curating the art show for this event. We will be utilizing the 2nd floor gallery space at 2720. The 2nd floor will also have live music. I'm working on the application now and will have it posted on this site, the facebook event and at the official site www.riseandscream.com
We're looking for artists to contribute up to 3 works of wall art for the gallery space. I'm also looking for 5 to 10 live artist to paint on the 2nd level. There will be live bands on the 2nd level as well so no 3 dimensional works will be accepted.
I'm accepting the application and all of the details including deadlines to be updated by Monday 1/16/17. Until then any art inquiries can be sent to art@riseandscream.com
