First post of 2017

It's a new year and it's already starting to be a busy one. There are a lot of events, shows and projects in the works for the beginning of 2017 and the rest of the year is starting to fill out as well. Check in with the Updates section and the Events section for specific dates and progress photos.

I'm happy and exited to again be an artist at the year's Wall Ball fundraiser. This supports a great local program.

Wall Ball is a fundraiser for ArtScope. A quick blurb about ArtScope St. Louis:

ArtScope is an arts program that serves primarily children and youth, including yearly arts education programs and summer camps. ArtScope also provides arts education for community organizations and events throughout Saint Louis City.EndFragment

A lot of art collectors and supporters came out to different events in 2016 and left with original pieces. I'll also be working on new art the refill the web store and offering different promotions.

One piece that sold was started in 2014 and went unfinished for quite some time. I started a painting of The Creature from the Black Lagoon to learn different glazing and layering methods with acrylic paint. As of December it now has a new home.

Finished Creature Painting
